How Should I Prepare For A Cleaning Appointment?

At Bust the Dust Housekeeping we’re not satisfied until you are! To that end, we make the following recommendations to best exceed your cleaning and tidying expectations!

We understand that each of our client’s needs are unique. We recommend supplying your choice of cleaning supplies and products, this is ideal for client’s with allergies, or sensitivities to certain products. All products we use are nontoxic and biodegradable.

We would also like to be as efficient as possible. It’s ideal that you designate a spot to store cleaning supplies and make your housekeeper aware ahead of time. This is especially recommended if you plan on being unavailable for the duration of the service appointment.

In order to serve you best we also make the recommendation to have the following cleaning supplies and equipment available for use:

Q: Adding time to my clean?

Please call 2 – 3 days in advance to advise if you need to add time to your clean. It is not possible to add time on the day of clean. Rebooking at the door will result in lost of deposit, no exceptions will be made.

Cleaning Process

Q: Do I have to be home every time I schedule an appointment?

No, if you are comfortable leaving, you are not required to stay while your housekeeper completes their work.

Q: If I’m not home, how will the housekeeper get in?

Our housekeepers will call the evening before your service appointment in order to confirm the appointment. We recommend that if you are not going to be home when the housekeeper is scheduled to arrive to make arrangements for a friend, family member or neighbour to provide access. Otherwise, we would advise you to create a safe place to leave a key which will be left in the same spot at the end of the service appointment if you have not returned home.

Yes. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Interac, and eTransfer if you wish to pay for service ahead of time. You may also pay your housekeeping with cash or cheque.

Q: Am I required to tip my housekeeper?

We leave that up to you. We do not require that housekeepers are tipped. Our housekeepers do their very best on every job and tips are always appreciated for exceptional work!
